Recipe : Masala Fried Chicken

Ingredients

  1. Chicken – 1 kg
  2. Curd – 3 tbsp
  3. Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tbsp
  4. Green Chillies – 3 [crushed]
  5. Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp
  6. Salt – as per your taste
  7. Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
  8. Red Chilli Powder – 2 tbsp
  9. Coriander Powder – 1 ½ tsp
  10. Zeera Powder – 1 tsp
  11. Garam Masala – 1 tsp
  12. Chaat Masala Powder – 1 tsp
  13. Red Food Colour – ¼ tsp
  14. Corn Flour – 3 to 4 tbsp
  15. Kasuri Methi – 1 tsp
  16. Egg White – 1
  17. Oil – for frying

Method

  1. Clean and wash the chicken and keep it aside.

 First marination

  1. Marinate the chicken with ginger garlic paste, crushed green chillies, lemon juice,curd and salt. Mix everything nicely and keep it aside to marinate for half an hour.

Second marination

  1. In a bowl, add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, zeera powder, chaat masala powder, corn flour, red food colouring and kasuri methi.
  2. Give it a mix and mix these masala with the chicken nicely.
  3. Add the egg white to the chicken and let the chicken get completely coated with this masala. Add salt and lemon juice if needed.
  4. Keep this to marinate for about 5 hours or overnight.
  5. Deep fry the chicken until crispy and cooked inside on medium high flame,
