ATM 2025 set for record turnout

Registrations have surged by an impressive 104% compared to the same period last year, underscoring ATM’s growing influence in the international travel trade landscape.

With just three weeks to go until the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, the event is on track to achieve record-breaking attendance, reinforcing its status as a key global gathering for travel industry professionals. Registrations have surged by an impressive 104% compared to the same period last year, underscoring ATM’s growing influence in the international travel trade landscape.

The event’s global appeal is evident in the composition of its attendees. International markets account for 52% of total visitor registrations, highlighting the importance of cross-border tourism collaborations. Meanwhile, visitors from the UAE and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries contribute 48% of registrations, reflecting strong regional participation.

Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME at Arabian Travel Market, emphasised the economic significance of the event. “Increased international attendance strengthens the global profile of ATM, providing a vital boost to the local economy and driving revenue in sectors such as hospitality, retail, and travel, thereby demonstrating the impact and strength of business events,” she said.
ATM 2025 is expected to see a notable rise in participation from key markets, mirroring last year’s growth. The top five registered countries to date are the UAE, India, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UK. India remains a particularly strong source market, with its expanding aviation sector and booming outbound travel industry fuelling international demand.

Strong Growth Trends in Global Participation
The 2024 edition of ATM saw a sharp increase in attendance from Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East, with visitor growth of 51%, 53%, 40%, and 26%, respectively. This trend is expected to continue in 2025, with further expansion anticipated across key regional markets. Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait were among the strongest contributors last year, reporting year-on-year visitor increases of 48%, 40%, 39%, 28%, and 37%, respectively.
This year’s event is set to welcome over 55,000 attendees, including approximately 37,000 visitors and more than 7,000 distinguished buyers. More than 2,800 companies from across 161 global destinations will showcase their offerings, solidifying ATM’s reputation as a premier platform for business networking, deal-making, and tourism industry insights.
“Global Travel” Theme to Drive Future-Focused Discussions
ATM 2025 will revolve around the theme “Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity”, highlighting the critical role of connectivity in shaping the modern travel sector. Beyond technological advancements, the theme will explore industry-wide collaboration, emphasising the importance of partnerships between destinations, service providers, and governments in fostering sustainable growth.

A key highlight of this year’s edition is the expansion of ATM Travel Tech, which has grown by 23% year-over-year. This segment will showcase cutting-edge innovations in travel and hospitality, attracting key decision-makers from the world’s leading travel brands. The ATM Travel Tech zone will also feature the Future Stage, where industry experts from major global players, including Booking.com, TripAdvisor, dnata Travel Group, Agoda, and Skyscanner, will share insights into emerging technologies and their impact on the sector.

Spotlight on Start-ups and Innovation
ATM 2025 will also introduce several new features aimed at fostering innovation. One of the most anticipated additions is the Start-up and Innovation Zone, a dedicated space designed to support emerging travel pioneers. This interactive zone will provide a platform for start-ups to showcase groundbreaking ideas and cutting-edge solutions to a global audience.

A key attraction within this zone will be an immersive virtual reality (VR) experience, offering attendees a firsthand look at the latest advancements in travel technology. By integrating immersive tech solutions, ATM aims to provide an enhanced visitor experience while encouraging the adoption of next-generation innovations in the travel industry.

With its impressive line-up of exhibitors, industry thought leaders, and groundbreaking technological showcases, ATM 2025 is poised to be the largest and most influential edition in the event’s history. As the global tourism industry continues to evolve, the Arabian Travel Market remains at the forefront, driving new opportunities, fostering connections, and shaping the future of travel.
