The Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, extended heartfelt condolences to President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday, offering sympathy for the victims and wishing a speedy recovery for the injured. During a recent visit to Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Saudi leadership jointly condemned the attack, emphasizing that there can be no justification for terrorism. A statement issued by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs echoed this sentiment, with both sides agreeing that terrorism poses one of the gravest threats to humanity. The Indian and Saudi leaders condemned the attack, rejecting any attempt to link terrorism with race, religion, or culture.

The League of Arab States also expressed its strong condemnation of the attack in a letter to Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, conveying deep sympathy to the government and people of India. The League extended its condolences to the bereaved families and wished for the swift recovery of the injured. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a similar statement, expressing strong condemnation of the attack and reaffirming its rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at destabilizing peace and security.

The Ministry conveyed condolences to the victims’ families, the Indian government, and wished a speedy recovery for the injured. The international community’s collective response highlighted the urgency of addressing the growing threat of terrorism and ensuring that those responsible for such heinous acts are brought to justice.

In addition to these condemnations, Iraq’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed full solidarity with India, condemning the attack and offering condolences to the families of the victims. The Iraqi government reiterated its unwavering stance against terrorism and violence, regardless of the motive. Iraq’s statement also included well-wishes for the swift recovery of the injured and hoped for lasting peace and security in the region.

The MWL emphasized that terrorism must never be linked to any religion or culture, reaffirming the stance of the Islamic world against such acts of extremism. The League expressed condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

“We strongly condemn this criminal act and extend our heartfelt condolences to you, the Indian people, and the victims’ families,” the letter stated. Abbas also wished for a swift recovery for the injured and prayed for peace and prosperity for India.

The joint statement from Saudi Arabia and India on combating terrorism also garnered attention from the international community. The statement emphasized the importance of Saudi-Indian cooperation in fighting terrorism, its financing, and cross-border terrorism. It advocated for dismantling the terrorist infrastructure and bringing the perpetrators to justice.

The Pahalgam terror attack is one of the most devastating attacks since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, marking a grim moment in the ongoing conflict in Jammu and Kashmir.
