Virgin Atlantic Launches Heathrow–Riyadh Route

King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh today celebrated the arrival of the inaugural Virgin Atlantic Airways flight from London Heathrow, marking a significant milestone in the growing air connectivity between the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia. The Airbus A330neo touched down with the airline’s founder, Sir Richard Branson, on board, symbolising the strategic importance of this new route.
The launch of this daily direct service is a key step in supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to transform the Kingdom into a premier global tourism and investment destination. The new link not only facilitates smoother travel for business and leisure passengers but also underscores the anticipated rise in demand for travel between the two nations.
