Neha Kakkar Responds to Melbourne Concert Controversy Amid Organisers’ Allegations

The video appears to refute the allegations made by Australian event organizers Pace D and Bikram Singh Randhawa, who earlier accused the singer of unprofessional behaviour

Singer Neha Kakkar has broken her silence on the controversy surrounding her Melbourne concert, where event organizers alleged she refused to perform due to a low turnout of 700 people.
Taking to her Instagram handle on Tuesday, Neha posted a video showcasing vibrant clips from the concert, featuring a large crowd dancing and singing along as she performed her chart-topping hits. In the video, she says, “Hi, you want to know what actually happened at the Melbourne show, right? Let me show you.” The caption read: “Thank you Melbourne!”—a direct response to claims that she backed out of the event due to low attendance.

The video appears to refute the allegations made by Australian event organizers Pace D and Bikram Singh Randhawa, who earlier accused the singer of unprofessional behaviour. In an interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, they claimed Neha was upset about the relatively small crowd and refused to perform until the stadium was filled. “The crowd was very angry at her because they had been waiting for hours. What I got to know from the organizer was that she said there are just 700 people, so until you fill up the stadium, I won’t perform,” said the organizers.

They further stated that while the Sydney concert—held by the same team—was successful with 1,500 to 2,000 attendees, Neha expressed dissatisfaction with the Melbourne turnout and decided not to go on stage.

Neha had earlier blamed the organizers for poor management. In a post on social media, she accused them of logistical failures including unpaid sound engineers, lack of basic facilities like water and food, and no accommodation for her team. She claimed the organizers disappeared without settling payments and abandoned the venue, leaving her team stranded.

The organizers have denied all allegations. They argued that opening acts had already performed, indicating sound checks and technical setups were in place. They also said that multiple five-star hotels were booked and cars arranged for transportation. “We had made all the necessary arrangements,” they insisted.

The controversy first erupted in March after Neha arrived nearly three hours late for her Melbourne performance. The audience, frustrated by the delay, began booing and reportedly asked her to leave. The singer, visibly emotional, broke down on stage. She later alleged that the entire situation was mishandled by the organizing team.

In response, the organizers posted a statement online, claiming they had incurred massive losses due to the event. According to them, total expenses amounted to $709,200 while the revenue generated was only $180,000—resulting in a staggering loss of $529,000. They demanded compensation from Neha, blaming her late arrival and alleged unprofessional conduct for the financial fallout.
They further claimed that due to the controversy, they have now been banned from hosting events at all Olympic Park venues. Additionally, they alleged that members of Neha’s team smoked in restricted areas of the Crown Tower Sydney, leading to a ban from all Crown Towers properties.

As of now, Neha Kakkar has not officially responded to the latest allegations from the organizers. The dispute continues to unfold, with both sides standing firm on their version of events.
