Pakistan Day celebrated in Oman

On the occasion of Pakistan Day on March 23, a grand ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Muscat, Oman. 

The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Community Welfare Attaché Hafiz Abdul Manan. 

Honorable Ambassador of Pakistan Syed Naveed Safdar Bukhari hoisted the Pakistan national flag. 

The ceremony was moderated by Deputy Ambassador of Pakistan Bilal Hassan and read out the message of  Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to the large gathering at the sprawling lawns of the Embassy in Al Khuwair. Before his address, Ambassador of Pakistan Syed Naveed Safdar Bukhari read out the messages of President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif. 

During his address, the Ambassador of Pakistan said that we should pledge today to make self-accountability and self-awareness mandatory for ourselves. 

While speaking, the Ambassador stressed that today we should also remember our defenseless  brothers and sisters across the world and pray that Allah saves them from oppression. 

The Ambassador thanked community members for participating in the ceremony. 

On this occasion, the Ambassador of Pakistan also awarded certificates of appreciation to several members of the community in recognition of their services.
