Global Cyclists Gear Up for UAE’s Major Cycling Events in 2025

The third edition of the UAE Tour Women the only international cycling race in the Middle East as part of the UCI World Tour series, will kick off over four stages across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Al Dhafra regions, in addition to Dubai…reports Asian Lite News

The UAE is set to host two major sporting events in February 2025, as the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, in collaboration with the International Cycling Union, will organise the UAE Tour Women from 6 to 9 February, and the UAE Tour from 17 to 23 February.

The two international events will feature the participation of some of the world’s most talented female and male cyclists in an exciting and challenging competition.

The third edition of the UAE Tour Women the only international cycling race in the Middle East as part of the UCI World Tour series, will kick off over four stages across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Al Dhafra regions, in addition to Dubai.

This event aims to highlight the rapid growth of women’s cycling in the region, as shown through the participation of a number of international women’s teams. It also seeks to enhance the UAE’s position as a major destination for organising women’s sporting events on a global scale.

The seventh edition of the UAE Tour, the only international cycling race in the Middle East as part of the UCI World Tour series, will be held from 17 to 23 February 2025. The race includes seven diverse stages, including mountainous, desert and urban city routes, reflecting the geographical and cultural diversity of the UAE. This event represents a significant opportunity to promote the country’s unique tourist destinations and showcase its advanced infrastructure which meets the highest international standards for hosting major sporting events.
