Emirati Hospital in Gaza Treats Wounded Palestinians

The field hospital in Gaza officially started providing its medical services yesterday as part of the UAE’s efforts to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians and support the health system in the Gaza Strip….reports Asian Lite News

 The Emirati Field Hospital in Gaza commenced its medical services on Sunday, welcoming its first two Palestinian patients suffering from severe fractures.

The first case admitted to the hospital was 17-year-old Abdul Karim Wael, who was transferred from Abu Yousef Al Najjar Hospital in Gaza. He suffers from a fracture in the right ankle and an open wound in the right knee, resulting from the fall of heavy concrete during the ongoing fighting in the Gaza Strip. The patient required urgent surgical intervention to stabilise the fracture and was accompanied by his uncle to the Emirati hospital.

The second case received is a 13-year-old teenager, Osama Barhoum, who was transferred from the European Gaza Hospital. He suffers from an open fracture in the right thigh caused by a missile fragment and requires surgical intervention to stabilise the fracture. The patient arrived at the hospital with a companion.

The specialised Emirati medical team in the field hospital in Gaza, consisting of qualified professionals in various medical fields, immediately dealt with both cases.

The field hospital in Gaza officially started providing its medical services yesterday as part of the UAE’s efforts to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians and support the health system in the Gaza Strip, which faces immense and unprecedented challenges.

An Emirati medical team supervises the hospital, which has a capacity of over 150 beds, as part of the ‘Gallant Knight 3’ humanitarian operation to provide aid and humanitarian assistance to the residents of Gaza.

The hospital encompasses departments for general surgery, orthopaedics, paediatrics, gynaecology, anaesthesia, and intensive care units catering to children and adults. The facility also houses clinics for internal medicine, dentistry, psychiatry, family medicine, paediatrics, and obstetrics, in addition to various medical support services.

Moreover, the hospital offers services such as CT scans, X-rays, and a pharmacy equipped with a laboratory containing the latest necessary devices for a variety of tests and examinations, enhancing its ability to provide comprehensive treatment to its patients.

ERC Delivers Urgent Relief Aid to People of Gaza

The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) continues to distribute urgent humanitarian and relief aid packages to the people of Gaza Strip, as part of the “Gallant Knight 3” humanitarian operation, in implementation of the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to support Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The ERC distributed various relief materials in the most affected areas in Gaza, including basic food items, powdered infant formula, as well as shelter materials.

For their part, the beneficiaries expressed their deep thanks and appreciation to the leadership and people of the UAE for this great aid and humanitarian gesture, stressing that these food baskets came at the right time.
