UAE, Nepal discuss labour relations

The meeting addressed labour market laws in the country, which aim to ensure workers their rights in a balanced way…reports Asian Lite News

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, discussed, with Krishna Kumar Shrestha, Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security of Nepal, ways of boosting the labour relations between the UAE and Nepal.

During the meeting, held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in Abu Dhabi, the two sides highlighted their mutual keenness to develop their bilateral ties.

The meeting also addressed labour market laws in the country, which aim to ensure workers their rights in a balanced way.

Shrestha lauded the UAE’s hosting of Expo 2020 Dubai and the success achieved by the event, praising the strategy implemented by the UAE to address the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic, which relaxed restrictions on the labour market and supported workers.

He then thanked the UAE for supporting Nepalese workers.

The UAE-Nepal Joint Committee also held a meeting to discuss future labour cooperation covering a number of joint issues. (WAM)
