Dubai Municipality wins RoSPA Award

Dubai Municipality has won the UK Royal Society for the Prevention of Accident (RoSPA) award. The Municipality won the “RoSPA Inspiration Award” in the category of Health and Safety Team of the Year 2021 – Middle East for the Mini-Crisis Cell Working Group System to Limit the Spread of Covid-19.

The winning initiative contributed to strengthening the efforts towards embodying Dubai Municipality’s keenness to implement the principles and values of health and safety in light of the pandemic in its organizational units and the Municipality’s various work sites spread throughout the emirate. The initiative also focused on highlighting the distinctive organizational efforts of Dubai Municipality and its pioneering role at the emirate level of rapid response to health and safety requirements during Covid-19, and the effective participation in accelerating the pace of recovery in coordination with all other government agencies and institutions in the emirate.

Dubai Municipality was keen to participate in the award, as the RoSPA is one of the oldest leading institutions in the field of health and safety in the world. The participation was a commitment from the Municipality to consolidate the concepts of health and safety, as the award aims to shed light on the most prominent efforts made by Institutions around the world in order to maintain health and safety, at the level of societies and work systems alike
